Dr. Sheiliza Carmali

Dr. Carmali leads the Protein Material Interface Group, focusing on precision biomolecular engineering for controlled therapeutic delivery. Her research integrates computational design with experimental validation to develop next-generation therapeutic platforms.
The group's interdisciplinary approach combines protein engineering, materials science, and pharmaceutical sciences to address critical challenges in drug delivery and therapeutic efficacy.
Research Interests: Protein-polymer bioconjugation, responsive protein systems, nanostructured therapeutic carriers, computational protein design.
